Thousand Thoughts: Circles

 Thousand Thoughts: Circles

This was our fourth video with London Nu-Metal band Thousand Thoughts and the lead single from their debut album Better Than Never.

Circles’ is an urgent call-to-action that warns of the dangers of slipping into a spiral, repeating negative actions and behaviour that will eventually lead to disaster if it is not stopped. As the launch song for the debut Thousand Thoughts album this was a major opportunity to grab audiences and so our aim was to make a video as slick, impactful and energetic as possible.

The result was a striking performance video, with the band playing the track in a wide isolated industrial building, surrounded by threatening ghostly and anonymous figures with lights for faces.

We encircled the band with 14 performers who were dressed head-to-toe in black, with battery-operated ring-lights stuck to their black balaclavas. Ring-lights were chosen for their vivid visual quality and simple clean shape, but also to personify the danger of spending too much time on social media, where we are surrounded by ring-lit influencers.
