Thousand Thoughts: Fail Me
Thousand Thoughts: Fail Me
Thousand Thoughts are a British Nu-Metal band from North London and a regular collaborator of No Class, having worked together to create 4 music videos between 2020 – 2022. “There’s a lot of bands and artists doing something with a hint of Nü-Metal” guitarist Will told Front View Magazine, “We’re doing Nü-Metal with a hint of everything else”.
Their track ‘Fail Me’ was a powerful call to action, a cry from somebody trapped and desperate to escape. Creating a video for this song was a real opportunity to find haunting visuals that reflected this distressed poetry in a moving and memorable way.
Dance is an art form rarely used in the rock and metal genres and so a perfect choice for a music video that needed to be arresting and iconic. Thousand Thoughts songs are always beautifully constructed journeys with dynamic movements and tonal shifts, giving us the perfect hooks to build the video around.
We shot this abstract dance video on location at a dilapidated chapel in South London, combining the captivating movement of dancer Simone O’Toole with expert choreography by Simon Barnum and a bold set design that included dozens of purple balloons and over 40kg of flour! We worked to enhance Simone’s beautiful movement with complementary camera movements across the space, giving her the opportunity to interact with the camera and draw in the audience.
