Steam Down is an artist collective based in Deptford, South-East London and part of Universal Music Group. Their track Overcome is powerful, edgy and exciting, with a motivational call to action for all.

The Overcome lyric video aimed to celebrate the strength of people working together to overcome adversity as well as reflecting the dynamism, energy and uplifting tone of the track.

It is pacy, bold and almost chaotic, taking inspiration from the aesthetic and iconography of the pamphlets, leaflets and posters of the big Western protest movements of the 60s and 70s to create an eyecatching and in-your-face visuals.

We combined punchy and arresting typography with animated original illustrations, collage backgrounds and tactile paper textures to build a world in which Steam Down’s lyrics explode into life.
